Wolves Wrap Up Successful Regular Season

The St. John Paul the Great Wolves Softball team has wrapped up their regular season with a 9-7 record, finishing second in the VCAC. As they prepare for the playoffs and wait for the VISAA rankings, the Wolves stand tied for 4th in VISAA Division 1 polling.
With the final regular season statistics in, some notable highlights include:
Kate Daly and Rachel Stuart finishing in VISAA D1's Top 5 for On Base Percentage and both in the Top 6 in batting average. They were joined by fellow Wolves Virginia Weina and Nichole Lopez in the Top 20.
Daly finishing second in stolen bases with a school record 20.
Stuart's first career no hitter and while finishing third in VISAA with 63 strikeouts.
It's been a great season so far! The Wolves are excited to see what the playoffs bring!
No Hit Pitching Leads Wolves to Victory

A five-inning no hitter by junior Rachel Stuart paced the Wolves to victory over the Madeira Snails on Friday. Stuart made quick work, requiring only 65 pitches and facing a one-over-the-minimum 16 batters. At the plate all nine Wolves contributed to the scoring with everyone recording a run, paced by Virginia Weina and Maggie Cook's three apiece.
Today's win was a great way to end a week of three games that saw the Wolves go 2-1 and up their record to 5-4. Two games next week will round out the first half of the season.
