Frank Kingett.


Head Coach

Biography:

Coach Frank Kingett has been on the John Paul the Great staff since 2013. Coach Kingett is a graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy and the US Naval War College.  While at the USCGA, he was a member of their wrestling team where he was a 4yr starter, 2 yr captain, New England College Conference Champion and multiple NCAA national qualifier.  Coach retired from the US Coast Guard as a Captain following a 28 year service career.   Prior to being at JP, Mr. Kingett ran and coached a local club wrestling team for many years.  Coach Kingett was head of the JP wrestling team from 2013-2021, stepping down to the assistant head coaching position in 2022.  He also was the head coach of the JP girl's tennis team since its first season in 2018 until 2021 and was the JP assistant Coach of the JP boys tennis team from its inception in 2019 through 2021.

Assistant Coach

Biography:

Jacob Kingett - wrestling

Jacob Kingett has been coaching wrestling at John Paul since 2016 and took over as the head coach in 2021. As a competitor, Jacob was a VHSL all state wrestler in 2010 (3rd) and 2011 (2nd) and went on to wrestle in college as part of Old Dominion's NCAA Division 1 program from 2011-2015 where he majored in exercise science. As a coach, Jacob was the recipient of the VISAA Assistant Coach of the Year Award in 2020 and his teams have finished in the top 10 and top 5 in the state in all but his first year head coaching.

 

Jacob Kingett - soccer

 

Coach Kingett has been coaching soccer at John Paul since 2018 as the JV head coach from 2018-2022 and as the varsity head coach in 2023. Jacob has coached the wolves to winning seasons in all but one year. During his tenure as head coach of the varsity team, the soccer program won the Eastern Mennonite Classic Tournament, was ranked as high as 5th in the state, and ultimately qualified for the VISAA state playoffs.
