Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Trinity Christian School, VA
2.0 years ago | Neil Velandria
Win: 44 - 30
The season is coming to an end, so these next games are so important to try to make VISAA playoffs. The Lady Wolves won the jump ball and the first point of the game was a 3 pointer by Maggie Cook. Throughout the game, the Lady Wolves did a good job of making the extra pass and playing unselfishly. Not everything was good though, as a lot of Lady Wolves shots from the outside were not falling. The Lady Wolves were able overcome that by their pressure defense and making the important shots.  The Lady Wolves won by a score of 44 to 30. - Beryll Ntiako Top performers -  Maggie Cook - 12pts, 3stls Saleema Tinner - 11pts, 7rebs Hannah Williamson - 7pts, 4stls
Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Seton School
2.0 years ago | Neil Velandria
Lose: 29 - 68
The Lady Wolves didn't have the energy they had the night before and the Seton Conquistadors came ready to play.  The Lady Wolves didn't have an answer for Seton's fast breaks and 3pt shooting.  They tried to change the momentum but could never sustain it long enough to make serious comeback.  The Lady Wolves get another chance at Seton on Monday and no doubt they will bring the energy & effort they usually do.   Top Players -  Jamie Velandria - 14pts, 2stls Maggie Cook - 8pts, 2rebs Nina Velandria - 5pts, 3asts

Win: 59 - 35
The first quarter started off slow with the Lady Wolves offensivelyl but Oakcrest also not making their shots. The Lady Wolves were able to hold them to 1 point throughout the 1st quarter and some of the second. During the rest of the 2nd quarter, Oakcrest began chipping away at the Lady Wolves’ lead and a 3 pointer by Saleema Tinner sent us into halftime with a 15 point lead. The 3rd quarter went by quickly and we finished it of with a 19 point lead. Throughout the game the Lady Wolves were able to hit their free throws and end up with a 24 point dub. - Beryll Ntiako Top Players - Jamie Velandria - 17pts, 6stls Saleema Tinner - 12pts, 8rebs Nina Velandria - 12pts, 4asts
Girls Varsity Basketball vs. St. Anne's Belfield School
2.0 years ago | Neil Velandria
Lose: 51 - 91
The game started off great. Both teams were making shots and at one point we were ahead of STAB. STAB started draining deep 3s even though we covered them really well, but they were just simply more skillful. Our starters & bench players were giving it their heart and fighting back. This game was a great learning lesson for the team. They played against D1 and top prospect type players at STAB, yet we never backed down. These players are going to take this lesson into their next practice to work harder on the next game and make sure they win! - Jade Gayle Top performers - Nina Velandria - 9pts, 2asts, 2rebs Maggie Cook - 9pts, 3rebs, 1stl Jamie Velandria - 8pts, 5asts, 4rebs Lyndsie Beavers - 8pts, 3rebs Saleema Tinner - 6pts, 8rebs, 5asts Eunisela Wilson-Bahun - 6pts, 1reb, 1stl

Win: 48 - 38
In a VCAC matchup between our Lady Wolves and Trinity Christian Gryphons, we prevailed 48 to 38.  The Lady Wolves led throughout the game but never fully got their rhythm.  It was the consistent pressure by the Lady Wolves that kept Trinity Christian from mounting a full comeback.   Next up a road game @ St. Anne's-Belfield Top Players -  Jamie Velandria - 15pts, 9stls, 4asts Nina Velandria - 9pts, 3rebs, 2asts Maggie Cook - 8pts, 4rebs, 1stl

Win: 45 - 38
Coming back from a great win last Friday, the Lady Wolves were riding a wave with one word ringing through their heads, "Believe." And believe they did! They were able to come back from a 10-point deficit at the half, to defeating Collegiate in OT. But it was not only the players on the court, but also the cycle of energy that sprouted from the bench's cheers and planted into the player's minds telling them that they could do it, they could win. - Beryll Ntiako Top Players: Maggie Cook - 14pts, 3stls Jamie Velandria - 12pts, 4stls Saleema Tinner - 10pts, 6stls

Girls Varsity Basketball vs. Freedom High School

Lose: 47 - 50
Two losses back-to-back typically would damage a team's morale. Luckily, the Lady Wolves are not a typical team. The game was close from the start, but a spark of energy in the second quarter from Jamie Velandria and the bench gave the team the tools that would keep them ahead, even if just by a point or two. By the end of the 4th quarter the Lady Wolves were up 40-37, but a clutch 3 from the other side forced overtime. The Lady Wolves sadly could not keep their lead, but their efforts as well as energy from the bench kept them in the game till the end. -  Beryll Ntiako Top Players: Jamie Velandria - 12pts, 4stls Hannah Williamson - 12pts, 13rebs Saleema Tinner - 5pts, 11rebs Lyndsie Beavers - 5pts, 7rebs Nina Velandria - 4pts, 7stls

Second game of back to back games and Oakton was tough.  Playing less than 24 hours from previous game, left us a bit flat but we tried to fight back throughout.  Oakton was just too good for us on this day but we saw areas we need to improve on and will get back at it.  Top Performers -  Saleema Tinner - 7pts, 7rebs Maggie Cook - 6pts, 2rebs Nina Velandria - 4pts, 4rebs
