CoEd Varsity Track

The John Paul Track and Field team competed at the 41st Annual Draper Track & Field Invitational at the St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School this past weekend.  The Boys team finished first out of 21 teams which was a first in school history.  The team was led by first places finishes from Elijah Thompson in the boys 1600m run in a time of 4:29 and the 4x800m relay team of Ethan Garcia, Jacob Thompson, James Bertram, and Alex Everson; second place finishes by Armaan Dhillon in 400m with a new school record time of 50.66 and the 4x400m relay team of Alex Everson, Toby Obasi, Gus Howard, and Armaan Dhillon.  Other medal winners include Luke Kovac in the Discus and James Bertram in the 3200m.  The Girls team finished sixth out of 24 teams and were led by first place finishes from Chichi Obasi’s in the 400m in a school record time of 57.33 and Angelina Kovac in the Discus.  Other medal winners include Tegan Bechtel second place finish in the Freshman mile with a new school record time of 5:41 and Isobella Jameson’s third place finish in the Discus.  Several other personal bests and VISAA qualifiers were turned in at the meet.  Congratulations to Boys for this historic victory and to all the new school records sent at this meet.  The team is back in action this weekend at the Virginia State Catholic Championships on Sat May 11.  Link to Full Results: https://va.milesplit.com/meets/615680-draper-invitational-2024/results ...
